Controller and applicable acts

The personal data controller is ipasumavertesana.lv, with a registered address in Riga, Republic of Latvia. Contact for privacy matters: hello@ipasumavertesana.lv.

We process data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (the General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR) and the Personal Data Processing Law of the Republic of Latvia.

What data we process

When you complete the form, we process the following data categories:

• contact data: name, email address, and, if you provide it, phone number;
• property data: the address and the form details about the apartment, including area, layout, floor, condition, energy class, view, and noise;
• technical data: the browser language choice, IP address, and a session identifier required for the form and language to work.

We do not process special categories of data (health, political views, religion, etc.). We do not knowingly collect children's data and the Service is intended for persons aged 18 or older.

Purposes and legal basis

We process your data for the following purposes:

• preparing the valuation and sending the PDF report to your email (performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR);
• monitoring service quality, analysing errors, and improving the methodology (legitimate interests of the controller, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR);
• answering your questions and corresponding about your specific report only at your request (your consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

We do not send marketing emails. We do not use your data for profiling or for automated decisions that have a legal effect on you.

Data retention period

We store submitted data for 24 months from the time the form is submitted. This period lets us respond to questions about the report we prepared and track service quality.

After this period the data is anonymised (keeping only statistical information used to improve the methodology) or deleted. If you ask us to delete sooner, we do so without undue delay.

Data recipients

We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for advertising or commercial purposes. On our behalf, the following processors may process the data:

• an email delivery service for sending the PDF report;
• a cloud server provider for data storage and for keeping the Service running within the European Economic Area.

Each processor is bound by a written agreement that sets out security and confidentiality standards compliant with the GDPR. We do not transfer data outside the European Economic Area.

Open data sources

To prepare the report, we use publicly available data provided by:

• the State Land Service (VZD): the Address Register and the Real Estate Market Database (CC-BY-4.0);
• the Riga Energy Agency (REA): building energy efficiency indicators (CC-BY-4.0);
• OpenStreetMap contributors: cartography and neighbourhood data (ODbL).

This data is not personal data within the meaning of the GDPR and is not linked to a specific user without a legal basis. The report includes only data relating to the address you provide.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• to request access to the data and a copy of it;
• to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
• to request the deletion of your data or the restriction of processing;
• to object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
• to withdraw consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand;
• to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (data portability).

To exercise these rights, write to hello@ipasumavertesana.lv. We respond within one month and, if necessary, may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on the request.

Cookies and browser storage

We only use functional storage that is necessary for the site to work or that you activate yourself:

• a session cookie that secures the admin login, seen only by signed-in administrators and not by site visitors;
• a language preference (localStorage key ipasumavertesana.locale) that remembers your chosen language (lv, en, or ru) until you clear it;
• a form draft (sessionStorage key ipasumavertesana-wizard-draft) that keeps what you entered so a page refresh does not wipe it; it is cleared after you submit or close the tab.

We do not use analytics, tracking, profiling, or advertising cookies. Because every one of these is technically necessary or activated by you, we do not show a cookie consent banner. You can delete or block them at any time in your browser settings by clearing the site data; this may affect how the form and language work.

On the address step of the form, the map loads only when you open it. At that point your browser fetches map images from OpenStreetMap, which receives only the IP address needed to serve the request.

If we add analytics or other non-essential tools in the future, we will announce it on this page and, where the law requires, ask for separate consent.

Complaints to the supervisory authority

If you believe that your data protection rights have been violated, we first encourage you to contact us at hello@ipasumavertesana.lv. We aim to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

You retain the right to lodge a complaint with the Data State Inspectorate (Elijas iela 17, Riga, LV-1050, www.dvi.gov.lv) or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
